What we collect when you shop with us, what we do with it, and what we will never do. In plain English.
Who we are
VerseVibe is a volunteer-run online shop operating from Mandurah, Western Australia, raising funds for C3 Kids Ministry Mandurah. Our shop is at shop.versevibe.net. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.
What we collect
When you place an order we collect your name, email address, phone number, and the delivery address if your order is being posted. We also keep a record of what you ordered and when. If you contact us by email, we keep that correspondence so we can help you properly.
Our website also records basic technical information such as your IP address and browser type, which is standard for any website and is used to keep the site working and secure.
Your payment details
Card payments are processed by Stripe, not by us. Your full card number never reaches our website and we never see or store it. Stripe handles that information under its own security standards and privacy policy. We only see confirmation that a payment succeeded, and the last four digits of the card — enough to match a payment to an order.
What we use it for
Only to run the shop: processing and packing your order, arranging pickup or postage, answering your questions, handling returns, and keeping the financial records we are legally required to keep. We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with anyone except where it is genuinely needed to fulfil your order, such as giving an address to Australia Post.
Marketing
We will not add you to a mailing list because you bought something. If we ever start a newsletter, you will have to opt in, and every email will have an unsubscribe link that works.
How long we keep it
Order and transaction records are kept for five years, as required of Australian businesses for tax and record-keeping purposes. General correspondence is kept only as long as it is useful, and then deleted.
Cookies
Our site uses cookies to remember what is in your cart and to keep you logged in if you have an account. Without them the shop cannot work properly. You can block cookies in your browser settings, but the cart will stop working if you do.
Access, correction and complaints
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we are not legally required to keep it. Email hello@versevibe.net and we will respond within a reasonable time. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can raise it with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and change the date below.
